Comprised of a team of accomplished professionals from the technology, logistics and consulting industries, 3PL Central’s principals and advisory board have helped to bring a fresh new perspective to the on-demand 3PL software and services sector.

Our team includes:

John WatkinsJohn Watkins is the co-founder of 3PL Central and serves as its CEO. John is an expert in the 3PL and warehousing industries – with specialties in warehouse operations, freight brokerage, international cargo and supply chain logistics. Having spent the last 20 years in various hands-on roles in the 3PL industry, John brings a unique operator’s perspective to the software company. With the collaboration of countless 3PLs and warehouses, John has led the development and expansion of 3PL Central and its growing base of Cloud-based software products. Prior to entering the 3PL industry in the early 1990’s, John served as a Controller for Syncor International, a radio pharmaceutical drug distribution company (+$300mm sales). John earned his CPA and is former alumni of KPMG Peat Marwick. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting with a minor in Spanish from the University of Utah. He earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Nancy RohmanNancy Rohman is the co-founder of 3PL Central and serves as its President and Chief Financial Officer. Nancy oversees day-to-day operations at the Company, relying on her background in accounting, law and banking to deliver insights into business and process improvements. Prior to formally joining 3PL Central in 2006, Nancy worked as an investment banker for 14 years, beginning her career with Lehman Brothers in Los Angeles. She most recently worked with JPMorgan, where she was responsible for coverage of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska region. Prior to banking, Nancy began her career in Los Angeles with KPMG Peat Marwick. She then went on to study law and obtained her J.D before entering into the investment banking world. Nancy graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She has also graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. Nancy earned her CPA and is a member of the California Bar.

Greg WilsonGreg Wilson serves as 3PL Central’s Chief Financial Officer. Greg brings nearly 15 years of financial experience to the company, spanning transactions, growth investment, operations and reporting. Prior to this role, Greg served as Vice President of Finance at Activision, and previously as product manager driving Activision’s Skylanders business. With Skylanders, Greg delivered the #1 kid’s video game franchise and #1 action figure property globally for four consecutive years. Before that, Greg held financial roles at Electronic Arts and IBM. He also worked in management consulting with Oliver Wyman, and in investment banking with Robertson Stephens. Greg earned his BA from the University of California, Berkeley, and his MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.

Jen BensonJennifer Benson serves as 3PL Central’s Vice President of Customer Success. With more than 20 years of client services experience, Jennifer is passionate about building and inspiring customer-first teams and culture. Prior to joining 3PL Central, Jennifer held leadership roles in both emerging technology start-ups and Fortune 500 supply chain and distribution companies. At Rapid7 she consistently delivered a >90% renewal rate and a >98% customer satisfaction rate for 5 years. She helped grow the company from $5M to $50M in revenues, setting company up for a successful IPO in 2015 (NASDAQ: RPD). Prior to Rapid7, Jennifer was Director of Customer Relations for Iron Mountain where she led the client services and operations teams through 4 acquisitions, delivered a 98% renewal rate and a 10 point improvement in EBITA. Jennifer leads the technical support, new customer on-boarding, account management, and professional services teams at 3PL Central. She is an active contributor and speaker in customer success thought leadership channels, and is also the founder of LoyaltyLabs, a customer success consulting organization.

Jen BensonRick Thompson serves as the VP of Sales for 3PL Central. Rick is responsible for delivering sales strategies and tactics to drive rapid growth for 3PL Central. He brings over 15 years of experience in sales operations roles with high-growth SaaS technology and digital media companies. Rick originally discovered his passion for building top-flight teams during his tenure with Jobing.com, an HR technology startup. As a VP/GM with Jobing.com, he expanded the company’s footprint by opening several new offices and built some of the top producing teams in the company. He went on to lead West Coast operations for a full-service ad agency, focused on enterprise recruitment solutions for Fortune 1000 clients. Most recently, he created inbound and outbound sales development teams for Velocify, a top B2B sales acceleration software company.

David MillerDavid Miller serves as 3PL Central’s Director of Product Development. With a unique background in both the supply chain and software development industries, David has been one of the primary architects of our world-class, cloud-based warehouse management products. His background includes such diverse posts as branch manager for C.H. Robinson, one of the world’s largest third party logistics (3PL) providers, Vice President of Technology for Logistix Services and Director of IT for B.E. Logistics Inc. David duties include managing the lifecycle of our products, including roadmap planning, development scheduling, specification writing and training. His efforts have helped 3PL Central grow our unique users by more than 200% on an annual basis. David has been certified as a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) and holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California.

Chelsea LevengoodChelsea Levengood serves as 3PL Central’s Director of Marketing. Chelsea is an experienced marketing and demand generation strategist with over 10 years of B2B experience. She oversees the company marketing strategies, campaigns, and brand awareness programs to solidify 3PL Central as the leader in warehouse management software. A multi-dimensional marketing operations professional, Chelsea has built a track record of driving new business through creative demand and lead generation programs. Additionally, she specializes in the integration of sales and marketing technology platforms such as Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot and Salesforce to help companies facilitate growth and drive revenue. Chelsea holds a degree in American History from the University of Kansas.

Board of Directors

David NovakDavid Novak has over two decades of industry experience in business development and sales leadership roles at companies such as Oracle, Siebel, Sterling Software and Accenture, as well as one of the leading providers of cloud-based supply chain management solutions, SPS Commerce. David spent more than nine years as the Executive Vice President of Sales & Business Development for SPS, where he helped the firm become one of the most successful public SaaS companies in the US. He has also contributed to the success of several startup companies such as nQuire Software and Information Advantage. Mr. Novak graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Santa Clara University.

C. Jason PayneC. Jason Payne is a founder of Mainsail Partners. In addition to co-managing the firm, Jason is an active advisor to Mainsail CEOs through his role as a board member for Mainsail’s portfolio companies. Jason’s background as an entrepreneur and senior executive provides valuable experience, which he shares with management teams making the transition from bootstrapping to investing for growth. Earlier in his career, Jason co-founded a venture-backed software company and held a variety of roles with American Dental Partners, a dental practice management company now owned by JLL Partners after a 2012 take-private. During his tenure with ADPI, Jason helped grow the business from start-up to over $130 million in revenues and through its 1998 IPO. Jason began his career with Summit Partners, a leading global private equity and venture firm. Jason received an A.B. in International Relations from Stanford University.
In 2010, Jason teamed with Gavin Turner and John Griscavage (CEO of PlayMaker CRM) to start the Madrone Foundation, a private foundation with the goal of assisting the financially challenged to pay for healthcare and education expenses. Jason also sits on the advisory board of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC), a division of the Smithsonian Institute
