Front-End Architect/Team Lead (UT)

The Role:

3PL Central is seeking an experienced Front-End Architect to join our talented development team based in Salt Lake City, Utah. You will lead a newly formed agile team building a completely reimagined billing system and customer portal that will be the cornerstone of a larger strategic suite of applications focused on helping our customers manage their businesses and service their customers. You will also work with developers across all other teams to ensure front-end code is written and architected according to best practices for both performance and usability.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Partner with UX Designers to implement the Front-End technical design and development of enterprise-grade web and mobile applications
• Review business requirements with Product Management and perform a technical analysis of requirements and participate in the estimation process
• Drive architectural discussions and decisions for new applications across our technology stack
• Deliver solid, detailed technical designs and architectural documentation
• Create governance and testing systems used by various front-end developers across multiple teams delivering applications
• Contribute ideas for making the applications better and easier to use
• Oversee front-end development efforts across multiple agile teams to deliver React applications
• Mentor and support team members
• Design and implement user authentication and security features

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in front-end development and engineering
• Demonstrated ability to build elegant and engaging web and mobile user interfaces
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript
• Extensive experience on React, Angular, jQuery and other JavaScript libraries
• Extensive experience in CSS frameworks
• Knowledge of Material Design principles and responsive design
• Expert in HTML5/CSS3 and creating cross-browser responsive applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with individuals across the organization
• Experience with REST Web Services
• Experience with Build and Deployment automation (CI/CD)
• Experience with Git (GitLab) and Jenkins
• Experience writing UI automated (unit, integration, end-to-end, and load) tests using tools like cypress.io
• Microsoft Azure and AWS certifications highly desirable
• Experience with javascript testing such as Jest, Enzyme, Mocha
• Familiarity with different authorization techniques, Cookies vs Tokens
